We would like to say thank you to all members of Monroe County Community Credit Union. Your patience and understanding with the temporary changes that we have made due to the pandemic has been greatly appreciated.
We understand the choices we make about how to operate our business affect our membership, and we truly appreciate the support we have received from all of you. Over the last four weeks, we have had to make difficult decisions in order to protect the health and safety of our team members and membership. We moved to a drive thru only model to ensure we are doing our part to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. We have temporarily closed two of our locations and redeployed those team members to provide additional support for our Contact Center and the members who rely on those team members to conduct their transactions. We had a contamination scare at our Winchester location and had to unexpectedly close the branch for a few days in order to give the branch a deep clean and keep our team members and members who visit that location safe. Throughout all these changes, we have received encouragement and understanding from all of you and we cannot thank you enough. We will continue to operate our branches as drive thru only to limit any potential exposure and ensure we are here for you throughout the duration of this pandemic. If you’d like to learn more about how you can access your accounts 24/7 through our electronic or mobile channels, please visit our online resources page.
We will win the fight against the Coronavirus and come out stronger and better than before. When we do come out on the other side of this, we will be back to serve you at all of our locations. Please do your part to help stop the spread.
If you have experienced any financial hardship as a result of the Coronavirus, please call 800-541-2222 to speak with an MCCCU representative. At this time, the credit union does not offer Small Business Administration (SBA) loans.
Please be aware the IRS has released new guidance regarding stimulus checks made out to deceased individuals who passed away before the receipt of payment. Their official guidance is that any checks or deposits made out to the deceased individual must be returned. You can learn more about the process of repayment by visiting their website and referencing Q10 and Q41.
