We've recently become aware of fraudsters attempting to spoof our phone number in order to deceive members. Remember, your security is our top priority. Here are a few important reminders and tips to help you stay safe:
𝗪𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: MCCU will never initiate a call and ask for personal information such as debit card numbers, account numbers, or passwords over the phone. If you receive such a call, hang up immediately and contact us using a verified phone number.
𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴: Be cautious when receiving unexpected calls, even if they appear to be from your credit union. If you're unsure about the authenticity of a call, hang up and contact us directly using a verified phone number to verify.
𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆: If you receive a suspicious call, ask for the caller's name, department, and a callback number. Then, independently verify their identity before providing any personal or financial information.
