What is a personal loan?

A personal loan is a loan without material collateral such as a car or home. Also known as a signature loan, the maximum personal loan amount at MCCCU is $25,000. These loans can be used for many purposes. For example: a wedding, home renovation, educational needs, a dream vacation, or to tackle any curveballs life might throw at you.

Do you have to be a member to apply for a loan?

You do not have to be a member to apply for a loan with MCCCU. However, you will need to join the credit union during the loan closing process. Please click here to see if you are eligible for membership.

By what methods can I pay on my loan at Monroe County Community Credit Union?

We like to make it as convenient as possible for our members to make their loan payments! You can pay through our online banking platform, by transferring funds from another institution online, over the phone, or in person at any one of our locations. Make sure to ask about special loan rate benefits for automatically scheduled payments on vehicle loans!

How do I get pre-approved for a loan?

To get pre-approved for a loan with MCCCU, you can click here to apply online, stop in at any one of our locations, or give us a call at 800-541-2222. Please note that in order to complete the loan application, you will need to authorize MCCCU to pull your credit.
