Our vacation club accounts are great for anyone who wants to be able to keep an eye on their savings but have very limited access. You can transfer an unlimited amount of money into a vacation club, but can only withdraw from the account a maximum of four times a year. In addition to the limited withdrawals, the transaction can only be completed in person, a little speed bump that should help you save!
This club account is a great way to save for the holidays or just end-of-year expenses! Funds in this account are a little harder to dip into, as you cannot withdraw funds from the account throughout the year. Funds in these accounts are automatically distributed on October 20th.
What do I need to open an account?
To open an account with MCCCU, you will need a valid ID with a current address. If you are in the process of transitioning to a new address, you can bring a utility bill from your new address or go to the Secretary of State to have your address updated. Keep in mind that P.O. Boxes are not considered a valid physical address. You will also need a $5.00 deposit (this is your buy-in to the credit union cooperative!) to open your savings account. If you choose to open your MCCCU account online, there are multiple options for funding your new account. If you are unable or choose not to fund your account with a debit/credit card, you can choose to bring in cash for your first deposit.
Can I open an MCCCU account online?

What do I need to open a minor account?
Our minor accounts are very popular! To open a minor account with MCCCU, you will need to bring in the child’s social security card. If the child is between the ages of 16-18, we will need to see a current form of photo ID (school ID, driver’s license, State issued ID). A legal guardian will need to be joint on the account until the minor turns 18.
How do I change my address on my account?
You can change your address through our online banking system. After logging in, hover over the ‘Info Center’ tab—this will bring up two columns. Click on ‘Personal Information’ in the ‘My Information’ column and follow the prompts to change your address.
How do I add a joint owner to my account?
To add a joint owner, you’ll visit one of our locations to speak with a Member Relationship Specialist. Bring the person you’re looking to add to the account and make sure they bring a valid ID. Keep in mind, all of the owners on the account must sign to add the new joint owner. Our online account opening process is currently for single memberships only. However, once your account is open a joint can be added. Ask an MCCCU representative for more information on how you can add a joint member.
How do I remove a joint owner from my account?
Only the joint owner who is being removed will be able to take themselves off of the account. They will need to visit one of our locations and speak with a Member Relationship Specialist.
How do I sign up for direct deposit?
If your employer offers direct deposit, give the payroll department MCCCU’s routing number (272482883) and your MCCCU account number.
How do I switch to MCCCU if I currently bank elsewhere?
We do everything we can to make the transition from your current financial institution go as smoothly as possible! Visit one of our locations and an Member Relationship Specialist will walk you through the process.
How do I access my Vacation Club funds?
You can access your Vacation Club savings up to four times a year by requesting a withdrawal in person.
When will I have access to my Christmas Club funds?
Christmas Club savings are distributed on October 20th. If you have automatic transfers set up for the account, it will appear in your account on 10/20. If you elected to receive your payment by check, the check will be cut on 10/20 and mailed to the address on file.
Is there a minimum monthly deposit required for a club account?
No, there is no minimum deposit required for our Club accounts.
Am I able to set up direct deposit into a club account?
Yes, and it's a great idea! With direct deposit, you can set up an automatic deposit for all or just a portion of your paycheck to go directly into your Club account.
